Caledonia Construction renovates, remodels and repairs residential property in New Orleans. We specialize in carpentry work and have over 15 years experience in the industry.
Owner, James Mayes, came to New Orleans to help the rebuilding effort after Katrina. He quickly fell in love with the city and its unique culture and architecture. James received a degree in Construction form Queenslie College in Glasgow, Scotland where he learned the trade from Master Craftsman.
We maintain an excellent relationship with local permit offices while working with our clients to update their living spaces to their desired function and style, meeting their desired budget. We take pride in building personal relationships with all subcontractors, officials, and clients.
Caledonia was the historical latin name the Romans used to describe the lands north of Hadrian's Wall. Today, we know it as Scotland.
Caledonia has worked on projects that meet the highest standards in green building and that are LEED platinum certified. We work closely with local architects and clients who want to build sustainable and affordable homes. We are experienced in advanced framing, siding and structural insulated panels. Caledonia also works closely with our friends who specialize in other trades that meet LEED platinum standards.
